Rice & Curry with Remedium No. 8 Reborn

Reborn's flavor profile is ideal for Curry and Rice.

Combined with coconut milk, this is a great combination! Cooking the rice in Reborn’s broth will enhance the aromas and allow for deeper flavors. This curry can be vegetarian or meat-based. In that case, we recommend marinating the protein (tofu is also an option!) a few hours beforehand with the Reborn herb mix!

Ingredients

For the rice
200 g Jasmine rice
300 ml water
1 Reborn
Fine salt to taste
Oil

For the curry
1 onion
1 eggplant
1 zucchini
Optional: Green beans/mushroom/broccoli/carrot
1 Reborn
200 ml coconut milk
50 grams peanuts
Basil to finish
1 lemon, sliced

Proceedings

For the rice

  1. Prepare 300 ml of water infused with Reborn for 7 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and the rice. Stir until coated and glossy. The rice should take on the appearance of a husk. Add the infused water and a pinch of salt.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce the temperature to low and cover for 11 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat and let it rest, still covered, for another 11 minutes. The rice will be fragrant and aromatic.

For the curry

  1. In another pan, add the oil, sliced garlic cloves and onion. Add the cut vegetables and the Reborn bag. Saute the vegetables for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the coconut milk. Let cook for 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Remove from heat and remove the Reborn bag.
  4. Serve the curry with the rice on the side. Top with chopped peanuts, basil, and a lemon wedge.
