Wilden and Recovery Times Week: united under the banner of virtuous recovery

The fourth edition of Recovery Times Week, the week-long showcase for chefs, hosts, ice cream makers, artisans, winemakers and creatives who believe in spreading an ethical food culture, is here.

Recovery Times is a cultural association, but prefers to call itself the network of those who make recovery their philosophy, creating initiatives and promoting a sustainable vision of the world, starting with food and wine.

The beauty of the word recovery is that it encompasses a vast world, starting from the detail with the recovery of leftovers and lesser-known raw materials to something more difficult to measure such as the recovery of tradition through the safekeeping of recipes that are in danger of being forgotten.

Wilden.herbals feels akin and complicit in this mission to give a daily, clear and practical key to sustainability. Indeed, since its inception, we have never stopped thinking about the concept of sustainability and the role that each of us and our every small act can have on the planet.

Here are all the reasons why we embrace this approach and join in this week’s celebration of virtuous recovery.

  1. First and foremost is the choice of every single ingredient. It is our point of pride that since our inception we have nurtured direct relationships with our suppliers to establish long-term paths and synergies. We want to offer those who choose Wilden.herbals herbal teas the best medicinal plants while respecting biodiversity, soil fertility and agricultural labor.
  2. Like in the old days, that is, the recovery of a tradition. We did not like the idea of using the so-called tea cut, an industrial process where the leaves, reduced to 1/1.5 mm fragments, lose most of their benefits. In tea cut the leaves are dried and crushed naturally while keeping most of the properties intact. This means drinking an herbal tea that takes you back to a specific historical time when our ancestors began to discover the power of herbalism.
  3. It wasn’t enough for us to be biodegradable, we also wanted to be compostable. The filter in each Wilden brew comes from corn and has no synthetic additives, is TÜV certified, and this means it can be disposed of in regular household compost, leaving no trace.
  4. Animal glue? No thanks, we go all out with cornstarch. The overwrap that wraps the filter of each brew is made of paper sealed with this secret ingredient that allows us to have completely biodegradable packaging.
  5. Goodbye plastic. We didn’t even choose it for packaging; we prefer to use cardboard, another 100% recyclable material.
  6. Du is megl che uan, or recovery infusion. Did you know that you can also use each of our sachets for a second infusion? When the first cup runs out, it is time to make a refill. After drying the sachet well, dip it again in hot water for a slightly gentler infusion but still rich and pleasant in taste. Try it to believe!
  7. Reuse recipes. Add our Remedia ingredients into your dishes and cocktails! After an initial use, our herbs and spices can still be used to flavor broths, steamed vegetables, cookies , or for breading fish.
  8. A thousand and one ways to reuse the little cotton bag we give away when you create your mix. It’s made to take herbal teas with you when you’re away from home, or to better store other treats you find in our pantry. Some people use it when they go on vacation to keep their digital instrument chargers in order, and then there are those who want to make a good impression and use it as a gift wrap.
