Wilden and Comieco, when the packaging is truly winning

We never get tired of saying it, for us at Wilden quality is important in every single detail. For our products we evaluate and select everything that concerns them, from the raw materials of the ingredient up to the materials that contain them. We have carried out studies, research and experiments for the packaging to get to the right solution that could satisfy us from every point of view, not only tactile and aesthetic but also, and actually above all, sustainability.
There is more flavor in being sustainable
Golosaria is the annual event dedicated to the excellence of Italian fine food and wine craftsmanship. Now in its seventeenth edition, the theme promoted for 2022 was “The Taste of Distinction” to highlight the fight against homologation and tell all those stories of where there is a true link between product and territory.
During this event Wilden.herbals was awarded a prize by Comieco, the national consortium for the recovery and recycling of cellulose-based packaging established in 1985 which today includes around 3330 companies like paper mills, material and cellulosic packaging converters and recovery plants.
Together with other players in the sector, we were called on stage to collect the award for “Food innovations accompanied by winning packaging“, a recognition of our commitment to using packaging that reduces its environmental impact – from the TUV AUSTRIA certified pyramid filter made of corn, to the biodegradable paper bags up to our Controversata box in recycled and recyclable cardboard. Wilden x Comieco: a tailor-made Christmas
We are proud to have been chosen by Comieco to make their corporate Christmas presents 2022. We are grateful to Alice Zappa and Federica Brumen of Comieco for involving us and believing in our project. And we could not fail to thank and mention the patient and meticulous work of our Art Director Francesco Arena Chartroux who made a tailor-made work designed for their needs.
We are confident that our Controversial Boxes have had an immediate positive impact, even before discovering their contents.
And speaking of impact, we would also like to thank Bici Couriers who have allowed us to take an extra step towards our commitment to the environment thanks to their zero-emission deliveries within the Milan area via their cargo bikes.
Controversa a reversible box, in a natural way
For our gift boxes we have relied on Fustellificio Vicentino which makes products in FSC cardboard, a trademark that guarantees their origin from sustainably and responsibly managed forests. Together with them we designed our very personal Controversa, a reversible box that can have infinite lives and (re)uses.
Our team and our loyal customers, just to name some examples, use them in the office to collect work tools in an orderly manner; in the bedroom to keep personal and precious objects; in the kitchen to always have loose ingredients at hand.
Even the aesthetic factor plays its importance: because this box must be able to talk about each single project in a unique way. Controversa is 100% customizable in color and graphics. If the Comieco one represented their Christmas with a red tartan pattern, for ours we chose our distinctive shapes that make it immediately identifiable as a 100% Wilden object.
