Golden Milk + herbal tea Remedium n.2 – Boost
Need a heart-warming recipe? We have the perfect one: a pampering that starts with traditional Indian medicine and evolves into an even more beneficial drink, to try against physical and mental fatigue
Golden Milk is a traditional drink of Indian origin, also known as “turmeric milk”. It is a milk-based drink (often of vegetable origin) mixed with turmeric and other spices. This mixture creates a drink with an intense golden color, hence the name.
Turmeric is the key component of Golden Milk and is appreciated not only for its unique flavor, but also for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
We at Wilden have decided to use the original recipe with a few changes. We have in fact enhanced the power of turmeric with the mix of ingredients in our organic Remedium No.2 Boost herbal tea to achieve a result with a unique, enveloping flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 teabag of Remedium No. 2 – Boost ( also previously used)
- 300 ml unsweetened oat milk
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
Preparation
- Gently heat the oat milk in a small saucepan over medium low heat, taking care not to let it boil or burn.
- Turn the heat down and add the Boost teabag, which you may have already used. Continue to heat over a low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and leave to infuse for another 5 minutes, covered.
- Remove the teabag and squeeze it into the saucepan.
- Add the turmeric powder and stir vigorously to incorporate it well.
- This prodigious golden milk is ready to be enjoyed warm in your favorite mug.
P.S. This recipe is perfect all year round: try it with ice if the days are still long and hot.
