Plant stories
Linnaeus called cacao Theobroma, “food of the gods”. Melissa means “bee”, because bees adore it. Black pepper was so precious that Alaric demanded it from Rome as ransom. In Greek, fennel is márathon, like the plain of the famous battle. And bergamot grows almost only on a strip of Calabrian coast between Villa San Giovanni and Gioiosa Ionica.

They cost less together: €84.00 instead of €103.50. ICEA-certified organic herbal teas, no added flavourings or sugar, designed in Milan and blended in Imola. Each sachet is made for 500 ml of water: a whole teapot or a full water bottle.

The Five O’Clock Tea Set brings the afternoon ritual home in three versions. Darjeeling is the classic: a whole-leaf black tea, amber, with notes of white flowers and muscat grape. Sencha is the fresh one: a Japanese green tea that tastes of freshly cut grass. Lemon Verbena is the light one: cedrina leaves that smell of lemon peel, caffeine-free. Three soft packs of 10 sachets.

Sencha Green Tea, soft pack of 10 sachets, contains caffeine
Botanica Propria · Lemon Verbena, soft pack of 10 sachets, caffeine-free

When to enjoy it, and who to give it to
Darjeeling at five o’clock, with a crisp biscuit. Sencha mid-afternoon, with water at around 80 degrees, for 2–3 minutes. Lemon Verbena after dinner, the French way. It’s the gift for anyone who loves tea but hasn’t yet tried whole-leaf teas, for your five o’clock break colleague, for a lovely host.

Plant stories
Darjeeling is called “the champagne of teas” and since 2011 it has had protected geographical indication status in Europe too. Sencha means “infused tea”: in the 1700s the monk Baisao sold it on the streets of Kyoto. And erba luisa, lemon verbena, owes its name to Maria Luisa of Parma, Queen of Spain: it reached Europe from South America with the Spanish, who grew it in the royal gardens.

They cost less together: €25.83 instead of €29.70. ICEA-certified organic tea and herbal tea, no added flavourings or sugar, designed in Milan and blended in Imola.

Plant stories
Rooibos grows only in the Cederberg mountains of South Africa: in Afrikaans it means “red bush”. Ginger carries a Sanskrit name, śṛṅgavera, “horn-shaped”, for the shape of its root. In spring, hawthorn fills the hedgerows with white flowers, and in England it’s simply called May. And for centuries the linden was the tree of village squares.

Plant stories
In Greek, fennel is márathon: the Battle of Marathon was fought on a plain full of wild fennel. The name lavender is traced back to the Latin lavare, because the Romans used it to scent their bath water. And melissa means “bee”: beekeepers used to rub their hives with its leaves.

They cost less together: €30.00 instead of €34.50. ICEA-certified organic herbal teas, no added flavourings or sugar, designed in Milan and blended in Imola. Each sachet is made for 500 ml of water: a whole teapot or a full water bottle.

The Good Morning Set brings together three different ways to open your day. Morning tastes of cacao and cinnamon, with the hazelnut note of rooibos. Focus starts fresh with mint and basil and finishes on maté. Boost warms you up with ginger, turmeric and black pepper. Three boxes of 10 sachets: 30 cups of good morning.

What’s inside
Remedium n.0 · Morning, box of 10 sachets, caffeine-free
Remedium n.5 · Focus, box of 10 sachets, with a light hint of caffeine from the maté
Remedium n.2 · Boost, box of 10 sachets, caffeine-free

When to enjoy it, and who to give it to
Morning at breakfast, with bread and jam. Focus mid-morning, at your desk, when a second coffee would be too much. Boost on a winter afternoon, when you get in with your coat still on. It’s the right gift for anyone who has given up coffee but not the ritual of the cup, for a colleague, for someone studying.

Plant stories
Linnaeus called cacao Theobroma, “food of the gods”, and for the Maya and Aztecs its beans were also money. In South America, maté is drunk from a gourd through a metal straw, the bombilla, and passed from hand to hand among friends. And black pepper was so precious that in 408 Alaric, King of the Visigoths, demanded three thousand pounds of pepper from Rome as ransom.

They cost less together: €30.00 instead of €34.50. ICEA-certified organic herbal teas, no added flavourings or sugar, designed in Milan and blended in Imola. Each sachet is made for 500 ml of water: a whole teapot or a full water bottle.
