Arriving in Pettorano sul Gizio from Milan was an adventure in itself, starting by skirting the central Apennines for much of the way to Pescara, and then moving deeper into \u201cthe parks.\u201d <\/p>\n

Rewilding Appennines Seminar: the project <\/h2>\n\n

These days, traveling is even more special. If then the reason for the trip is to reach a small village nestled in a national park in Abruzzo for a seminar (Rewilding Appennines, ed.<\/em>) on design opportunities for rural territories<\/strong>, the feelings are immediately very positive: there is a need for shared reasoning around a new livability. We need to think about new trades, new connections, new communities. <\/p>\n

Rewilding Appennines Seminar: the seminar.<\/h2>\n\n

The Seminar, held Oct. 1-4<\/strong>, was a special moment of interweaving life stories, tales and viewpoints to support a different imaginary of designing the livability <\/strong>of natural parks and its animal, plant and human inhabitants. <\/p>\n\n

Rewilding Appennines Seminar and Wilden.herbals<\/h2>\n\n

We at Wilden.herbals<\/strong> are at the beginning of our entrepreneurial journey, which started from a big city like Milan, not without its difficulties, but we are happy to do our part to get closer to the land. It is a long and impervious path to build supply chains and requires times that follow the cycles of seasons and harvests<\/strong>.During the seminar we shared our path, told where we are; how for us today it is important to design a coherent identity, made of ecological and creative principles and values. All this without forgetting the digital dimension<\/strong>, which today is fundamental to exist. <\/p>\n\n

Medicinal plants <\/strong>are anopportunity for rural<\/strong> and marginalareas<\/strong> of our country and beyond. Therefore, there is a need to valorize endemic<\/strong> varieties, learning about their uses and properties, to enrich our recipes and rekindle the value of traditional knowledge and its continuing vanguard. <\/p>\n\n

In fact, the marginal areas of our country are in many ways complex places to inhabit if we think of the hectic and aseptic urban life, but at the same time they offer new horizons for living<\/strong>, especially considering the time of crisis in the city world. <\/p>\n\n

Networking<\/strong> in rural areas, creating temporary residences<\/strong>, participatory services; interweaving opportunities and contamination. Redesigning villages, ideal places of deepening, as connected and fermenting creative centers, intertwined, however, with simple and creative life<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Landscape, is not only a geographical panorama, but is above all the internalization of the inner world into the outer world. It is composed of spaces, materials, noises, smells and looks, and places are nothing but what we make of them.<\/p>\n

We can think of ourselves, therefore, as more resilient and creative. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The time is right.<\/p>\n\n
