After the Neighborhood Shops, Pharmacies and Parapharmacies, Concept Stores, this time we landed at Sandra and L’Angolo Dolce<\/strong><\/em> in Lucca, a place also mentioned by the Gambero Rosso guide \u201cI Migliori Bar d’Italia<\/strong>.\u201d We had the pleasure of chatting with Sandra<\/strong>, founder and beating heart of the bakery. <\/p>\n

Sandra and The Sweet Corner, can you tell us about it?<\/h2>\n\n

The pastry shop, located in Lucca on Via Borgo Giannotti, just outside the walls, was founded in ’97, but at that time it was only called L’Angolo Dolce.<\/strong> Over the years the store evolved, as it should, and in 2011 we proceeded with a restyling of the store, transforming it into a place where conviviality plays a key role: the central counter, where our preparations are displayed, is the perfect place to eat, interact with customers and let the right atmosphere be created. <\/p>\n\n

We also decided to add my name, Sandra<\/strong>, to the name of the bakery: it was a choice dictated by the desire to \u201cput my face on it.\u201d In those years I was almost exclusively in the laboratory, which I consider my natural habitat, but I wanted to give a face and more credibility to my work as a craftswoman; I consider this a fundamental step, especially when making important choices, as in our case. <\/p>\n\n
